"The Flowers of Romance" is the third studio album of Public Image Ltd, an English experimental rock band. The album was released on 10th April 1981 by Virgin Records. The album was recorded after Jah Wobble, the founding bassist of the band left. The album was recorded by the band's singer, John Lydon, and guitarist, Keith Levene.

The album features experimental sound with heavy use of percussion and various tape and processing effects. The album was recorded mainly in two studios, The Manor Studio in Shipton-on-Cherwell and Townhouse Studios in London. The band also recorded two unreleased joke versions of "Twist and Shout" and "Johnny Remember Me". The album is highly experimental and is preoccupied with moving beyond the defining standards of rock music, making it a pioneering post-rock record.

The album features musique concrète sounds, such as amplified wristwatches, reversed piano, and televised opera, throughout the album. The cover photograph is of the band's videographer, Jeannette Lee. The album was centred on percussion, and Levene has described it as "probably the least commercial record ever delivered to a [record] company."
