The album was co-produced by John Cale and Joe Boyd and features elements of Western traditional pop. It includes the song "Janitor of Lunacy" written as a tribute to her friend Brian Jones.

It was later reinterpreted by Throbbing Gristle in 2012 under the name X-TG The Album.
