"Blues for the Red Sun" is the second studio album by American rock band Kyuss, which was released in 1992. Despite receiving mostly positive reviews, the album did not perform well commercially, selling only 39,000 copies.

However, it has gained a significant influence within the stoner rock genre and is considered a key inspiration for many later bands in the genre. The album features a mix of stoner rock and desert rock and has been compared to Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Blue Cheer, and Alice in Chains.

The album's music videos for the songs "Green Machine" and "Thong Song" received some airplay on MTV and MuchMusic. The album was released by Dali Records and later purchased by Elektra Records. It was the last Kyuss album to feature bassist Nick Oliveri, who was replaced by Scott Reeder after its recording.

The album received praise from critics and fans alike, with AllMusic calling it "a major milestone in heavy music" and Steve Taylor considering it Kyuss' best album. It has influenced numerous other bands and features slow tempos, groove-laden rhythms, and distorted guitar sounds achieved by using down-tuned guitars and bass amplifiers. Several of the songs on the album are instrumental and some have no discernible lyrics.
