Freda Payne's third studio album, "Band of Gold", was released in 1970 as her first album for Invictus Records. The title track quickly became a hit on both US and UK Pop charts, along with other popular songs such as "Unhooked Generation" and "Deeper and Deeper", the latter of which was written by Payne's sister, Scherrie Payne.
